Armani Shortens up for Spring/Summer 2010! By Brittany West - Friday, October 02, 2009

If the bright and upbeat Spring/Summer 2010 collection by
Armani at this years Milan Fashion week is any indication the hemlines seem to
be rising with the temperature this season.

The Armani show held at the Milano Fashion Center had a
bright summer feel with Cheerful houndstooth prints and youthful short styles,
a pleasant change from the normally Urban Label. Featuring plenty of loose-fitting and comfort friendly
pieces, paired with more structured looks. A gorgeous bubble skirt and cropped jacket, or loose blousey
tops and pleated shorts, everything from daywear to eveningwear had one thing
in common….short, short, short!

The eveningwear line showed off cropped flowing shorts, or
sparkly shorts under shorter dresses and deep open V backs ideal for showing
off that beautiful summer glow.

Star followers Janet Jackson, Swiss tennis champ Roger
Federer and and Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi were spotted making an appearance at
the second show. While a
well-dressed Armani adorned entirely in black, waved to the crowd after the
show before making his way backstage, where he told reporters “During my 30
years in fashion, I explored many different roads, from minimalism to ethnic,
but most of the time, people expect the same style from me and don’t understand
change,”
Understandable, with the beautifully dependable cuts and
styles consistent with the Armani label, no wonder we don’t want them to
change!
