Spring Carnival 2010

By Sandra Cal - Tuesday, September 21, 2010

Ladies and Gentlemen, Spring Racing Carnival season is approaching and it’s time to secure those winning outfits. No matter your style, there is sure to be something for you at Voi, and our range will get you noticed for all the right reasons. So head towards Voi now and let the race for best dressed begin!

Ladies

Make a bold statement in this strapless Emporio Armani dress. Its colourful, graphic print is sure to attract attention amongst the crowd. The fitted bodice makes for a flattering silhouette while the tucks sewn into the waistline give this dress a beautiful sense of movement.

With its muted floral prints, gathered layers and completed with a sweetheart neckline & bow, this D&G number is the quintessential feminine frock. This is one for all the flirty and romantic girls out there!

If it’s a slightly more unique look you’re after, then this ethereal Patrizia Pepe dress is certainly for you. The garment is awash with floaty layers of pleating and circular ruffle features, which create a flowing sense of rhythm across the body. To complete the look, team up with this ¾ jacket which features beautiful dip-dyed lace detailing, also by Patrizia Pepe. The high attention to detail within the fabric of the dress combined with intense hues of green and blue make this effortlessly harmonious look truly stunning.

Any pretty frock is going to demand some serious shoes and accessories to finish the look. These metallic green stilettos inject any fresh outfit with an element of playfulness, and even come with an adorable clutch to match (pictured bottom right), both by Dolce&Gabbana. These black Laltramoda heels are the perfect balance between making a statement whilst remaining classic, with feather and crystal detailing at the front providing a nice twist to the traditional black shoe. Finally, if it’s an intense burst of colour you’re after, you can’t go past these bright blue Gino D’Anna platforms that are guaranteed to steal a few glances.

Gentlemen

A great grey suit never looks out of place at the races, with this sophisticated pin-striped Gianfranco Ferre suit being a great colour for the day. This lighter shade of grey works quite well with a subtle shirt and a colourful tie making a statement. Pair with charcoal Emporio Armani shoes to finish off the look.

In keeping with the theme of lighter suits, this cream coloured Just Cavalli suit has a luxurious yet subtle sheen within its fabric, allowing it to stand out while still being conservative enough for the racetrack. For a really modern look, pair this suit with a black belt and match with Sergio Rossi black shoes (as pictured), as the incorporation of a darker colour will bring some definition to the look. The overall look will have a real point of difference amidst a wash of ordinary, darker suits.
