Brand Crush - Dolce & Gabbana Molto Italiano at Milan Fashion Week SS12
By Heather Cairns - Wednesday, September 28, 2011
One of our favourite labels available at Voi, Dolce & Gabbana, has presented a collection at Milan Fashion Week that was a celebration of everything from Italy's South! The runway, decked out with colourful festival lights, hosted a mass of designs that made the fashion crowd smile. The show was all about being Italian. Southern Italian. Opening the show were print stories of supersized vegetables and fruits. The produce garments came in the form of summer dresses with flared skirts, playsuits and midriffs with full skirt combinations (a must ensemble for the season). The collection then moved into Sophia Loren inspired lace work that was covered in same fabric lace floral appliqués. Lace was bravely mixed with perspex on hourglass dresses and coats, a experiment that paid-off tremendously. The final story tied in the carnival lights with a series of dresses, bodysuits and hot pants covered in rainbow coloured crystals. This collection is a positive step for the house who is merging their D&G label with Dolce & Gabbana as of next season. To get your Dolce & Gabbana fix run into Voi Sydney today. Salute!

Designers Going Dotty This Season? Spots are the New Black!
By Heather Cairns - Thursday, September 01, 2011
The recent Fall 2011 Collections from New York to Paris had one tying factor- Spots! The dotty trend has been championed by designers such as Marc Jacobs (left), Alber Ebaz at Lanvin (centre), Stefano Pilati at Yves Saint Laurent (right), Gucci, Stella McCartney and Dolce & Gabbana. Spots are a quick way to add fun to any outfit.
The beauty about spots is you can wear them any way you like. With a sense of humour like Marc Jacobs or in a more sensual way like Gucci and Stella McCartney in the images below.

Brand Crush: Balenciaga!
By Heather Cairns - Tuesday, August 23, 2011
Voi has just unwrapped some modern designs from coveted French label, Balenciaga. The house's head designer , Nicholas Ghesquiere has turned the traditionally sophisticated label into a haute rock'n'roll statement, with his design genius. In his ten-year-plus reign at the house, he has been one of the designers responsible for making statement accessories a core focus in fashion today. His long collaboration with shoe designer Pierre Hardy has resulted in some of the most memorable shapes in modern fashion. Who could forget the 'lego-shoe'!
In the Balengiaga Fall 2011 campaign, featured here, we see how designer Nicolas Ghesquiere always has a knack for linking unusual in fashion today and visual elements. In the campaign, shot by Steven Meisel, models Julia Nobis, Liya Kebede, Liisa Winkler, Milou Van Groesen, Juliane Gruner, and Carla Gebhart strut their stuff in a gothic Harlem church, forming tableaux of movement akin to a classical painting. These scenes are juxtaposed with the clinical lines of a tiled space – a complete opposite to the church setting yet somehow the two make perfect sense together.
With the latest arrivals at Voi Sydney, we can identify his knack for combining unusual elements. Like Balenciaga pants printed with wood and hexangonal bee-hive mini skirts (featured below). One this is for sure our Balenciaga arrivals won't last long - See you in store!

Who is Patrizia Pepe ?
By Mohammed El Hassan - Thursday, June 02, 2011Patrizia Pepe is one of Florence’s hottest fashion labels and an emerging label on the global fashion scene.
The company was launched in 1993 and boasts a design style that is both minimalist and bold.
Fall/winter women’s collection 2011
Their latest fall/winter women’s collection combines their trademark modern, minimalist designs with an attention to the finer details. Their range of jackets are a standout with ribbons buttons and braided frogging details.
Ecological leather jackets go perfectly with any of the knitwear or stretched wool and soft jerseys. accented by metalic accessories.
The Padded jacket with fur images printed onto the surface and needle punched motifs on the back are a original modern interpretation on the classic fur look.
The colour pallet is neutral and sophisticated offset with bold metallic: officer grey, royal navy, indigo and heritage green. Against these backgrounds, sudden bursts of electric brushstrokes or oxidation, antiqued sequins, metallic effects.

Pal Zileri - luxury the old fashioned way
By Connie Neighbour - Sunday, September 19, 2010Established in 1970 by a group of businessmen called Gruppo Forall, the Pal Zileri vision has always been about a fusion of tradition and quality. The company’s aim is to provide elegant, quality suits that are handmade using traditional techniques by a small, loyal team. They even source their own materials- mostly wool, cashmere, vicuna and guanaco.

Lunchtime at the Pal Zileri factory, with the table headed by Mr Barizza- one of the founders of Pal Zileri
In order to cater to a large number of people, Pal Zileri has refined the label into four ranges- Pal Zileri (or white label) which makes suits, and under suit garments; LAB the casual, more edgy line; Sartoriale, for special occasion suits and finally, Abito Privato, the exclusive made to measure line, where clients choose the material, buttons, thread and cut. Abito Privato is one of the few Italian clothing companies that still has a made to measure service.
